Job Description:
Oracle DBA to complete an Oracle upgrade project. At least 6 years DBA experience with installation, configuration, and support of Oracle and MySQL databases. Knowledge of Web servers. Preferably in an environment supporting high-volume Web-based applications.

Technical Skills:
Function: Patching of Oracle versions 9i and 10g - Oracle 10g installations, configurations, and data loads
Oracle database upgrades from 9i to 10g
Install and configure OEM monitoring agents
Configure Oracle and MySQL database backups
Install and configure MySQL version 5
MySQL database upgrades from version 4 to version 5

Required Knowledge:
Deep understanding of relational database design principles and schema design Experience running and supporting large scale databases under high transaction rates Proficiency with UNIX (Solaris) system administration and performance tuning is critical Knowledge around high availability, such as replication, clustering, and fail over is a must
