John Meurer is the Founder and President of Advocate Staffing. He has taken his 9 years of technical staffing and 6 years of higher education experience and created a staffing company that focuses on the Technical and Higher Education industries. John is committed to partnering with each client to ensure their experience with our organization is beyond their expectations.

John was most recently Vice President of Admissions at Academy of Art University, the largest private art and design school in the nation. John was instrumental in growing the university's online and on-campus enrollment from 5000 students to over 13,000. In 2007, John opened the only office outside the San Francisco campus in the university's 80 year history. He grew the Denver office from a 7 person team to 90+ employees in two years. John was responsible for revenue generation, strategy, and operations of the Denver location.

Prior to Academy of Art University, John held senior sales roles at Bechtel Corporation and Sprint. John assisted small to medium sized clients with recruiting and professional services in the engineering and telecommunication industries.

John spent over 7 years with Tek Systems, a subsidiary of Allegis Group, the largest privately held technical staffing organization in the United States. His tenure included serving as Regional Sales Manager, where he was responsible for working with the Directors of Branch Operations at 22 offices in the western region to increase sales revenue and focus on key national accounts. Revenue in the region was $200 million.
